I was really excited to purchase a bike from bycicle.net but my experience has been quite underwhelming. First of all, the website itself feels very outdated and isn’t very user-friendly. The navigation is clunky and it takes forever to find what you’re looking for. Once I finally found the bike I wanted, the checkout process was a nightmare. The site was slow, and I had to refresh several times just to complete my order. When my bike finally arrived, it wasn’t packaged well and had a few scratches on the frame. The assembly instructions were vague and hard to follow, which made putting it together a lot more difficult than it should’ve been. After struggling for hours, I took it out for a ride only to find that the gears weren’t shifting smoothly. It seemed like the derailleurs were out of alignment, something I wasn’t comfortable fixing myself. Their customer service was equally disappointing. I emailed them about the issues and it took over a week for them to respond, and even then, their advice was generic and not very helpful. I ended up taking the bike to a local shop for adjustments, which cost me extra money. Given the high prices they charge, I expected much better quality and service. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else unless you’re prepared to deal with these kinds of hassles. Not worth the time or money.
