Okay, so I decided to give Osteria.dk a try after hearing mixed reviews from a couple of friends. Honestly, I was not impressed at all. First of all, navigating the website was quite a headache. The layout is messy and it's really hard to find exactly what you're looking for. The search function seems almost useless because it doesn't bring up relevant results most of the time. Then there's the language issue. While the site is obviously in Danish, it was full of strange translations and grammatical errors that made it hard to understand, even for a native speaker. I get it, not everyone is great with language, but if you're running a professional site, getting the basics right should be a priority. Now let's talk about the actual food. I ordered a couple of dishes, hoping to get a taste of authentic Italian cuisine. What I received was far from it. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was bland and watered down. The pizza was equally disappointing - chewy crust and hardly any toppings. It felt like eating cardboard with a hint of tomato and cheese. Delivery was also a letdown. It took over an hour to get my food when their website clearly stated 30-40 minutes max. And to make matters worse, the food arrived cold. Frankly, I could've just boiled some pasta and opened a jar of sauce myself and it would have tasted better. I really don't understand the hype around this place. It's overpriced for the quality you get, and the experience is just not worth the trouble. If you're looking for good Italian food, look elsewhere because Osteria.dk is not it.

Company description Osteria

Immediately in love with him - but also with Southern Italy, as Alfredo gave her tastings of the many treasures this area boasts. Passionate about Southern Italy, she is now an integral part of the warm and family-friendly atmosphere at Osteria Alfredo.

Osteria Alfredo, nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, is a small restaurant offering an authentic Italian culinary experience centered around simple yet flavorful cuisine. Upon entering, the ambiance recalls that of a typical Neapolitan trattoria, with its wooden tables, walls adorned with photos of the region, and a lively and bustling atmosphere where the laughter of staff and guests mingles joyfully.

At Osteria Alfredo, the star of the menu is, undoubtedly, the Neapolitan pizza. Prepared according to traditional methods with a long-fermented dough and cooked at high temperature in a wood-fired oven, the pizza is topped with fresh and seasonal ingredients often directly imported from Italy. The pasta, all homemade, is equally intoxicating with its creamy sauces generously infused with Mediterranean flavors such as lemon, basil, and, of course, olive oil.

What sets Osteria Alfredo apart from other Italian restaurants in the city is undoubtedly the authenticity of its staff. Most of the cooks and waiters are Italian, infusing every dish served and every glass of wine found with little stories from their homeland. It's this commitment to sharing the culture and traditions that gives every meal an almost evocative dimension of over there, where you can easily imagine sitting in a picturesque trattoria in southern Italy.

Osteria Alfredo also wishes to honor the tradition of the Italian family meal. The place is designed to be a hub of conviviality where children, parents, and grandparents can gather around a good meal, exchange anecdotes of their daily life, and enjoy the present moment. Alfredo and May-Britt encourage families to let children participate in the preparation of their own pizza, turning a simple outing into a fun and enriching culinary learning experience.

The owners, May-Britt and Alfredo, passionate about gastronomy and sharing, have chosen not to offer a separate children's menu. Here, young ones are invited to discover the same culinary delights as their elders, an invitation to a gustatory journey that inspires openness and curiosity.

For the purists, Osteria Alfredo reserves a magnificent selection of Italian wines: mainly from small Italian family productions, each bottle tells a story. All the more so since May-Britt and Alfredo take pleasure in guiding their guests in selecting the perfect wine to complement their meal.

Osteria Alfredo is not just a place to come to eat. It is a place of life, sharing, and meetings, where each dish is served with a story, each smile seems to transport you to Italy, and each flavor awakens reminiscences of a sunny journey along the winding roads of the south of the boot.

Whether you're coming for a romantic dinner, a family meal, or a simple culinary getaway, Osteria Alfredo promises a gourmet escape and total immersion into the true soul of Southern Italy. It's an invitation to discover, in the city center of Copenhagen, a little piece of Italy where time seems to stand still, where the moment takes on its full meaning, and where the taste buds are awakened with every bite.
