I recently purchased a guitar from Fair Deal Music and unfortunately, it was not the best experience. The first issue I faced was with their website. The navigation is clunky and it took me ages to find exactly what I wanted. Once I finally managed to place an order, the confirmation email took a long time to arrive, making me nervous about whether my purchase was actually processed. When the guitar finally arrived, I was disappointed to see that the packaging was damaged. The box was torn and looked like it had been through rough handling. Opening it up, the guitar had a few scratches and minor dents. This is absolutely unacceptable for a brand-new item. I contacted customer service right away and was put on hold for an unreasonable amount of time. When I finally spoke to a representative, he was not helpful and seemed disinterested in resolving my issue, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. After a lot of back-and-forth, they agreed to send a replacement. However, the process was long and cumbersome. I had to send the damaged guitar back at my own expense and wait for them to receive it before they would dispatch the replacement. The replacement guitar was in better shape, but even then, it failed to completely meet my expectations. The strings were poorly set up and required immediate adjustments, something I didn't expect to deal with right out of the box. It's a shame because they do have a good range of instruments, but the poor quality of service and inadequate packaging really let them down. I regret not taking my business elsewhere and would think twice before ordering from Fair Deal Music again. They really need to step up their game in both website usability and customer service.
I wanted to buy a new guitar, but the site was so slow and confusing. Took forever to load pages and I couldn't find the product I wanted easily.
